Mark Ellison works in the Washington Field Office of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where he is currently assigned as the Outreach Communications Liaison Manager. Prior to joining the Washington Field Office, he worked as a federal investigator with the EEOC Detroit District Office, investigating private sector complaints. In addition, he investigated one of the largest verdicts in an employment discrimination case to a Muslim American, $1.1 Million. In 2009, he worked in the Dallas District Office of EEOC as an Enforcement Supervisor.
Before joining the EEOC, he study abroad in Germany and lived in several countries in Europe. Mark graduated magna cum laude of the University of Michigan, where he received his graduate degree in History and Islamic Studies. In addition, he is currently working on his PhD, Executive Coaching at Capella University.
He is a veteran of the United States Army.
