Deputy Chief Barrero has over two decades of service to the Fire and Rescue Department with significant experiences spanning many areas of the fire service. These experiences include current and past certifications and qualifications in Fire Prevention, Training, Emergency Medical Services, Suppression, and Hazardous Materials. Deputy Chief Barrero’s experience includes command level positions in Operations, Hazmat and Fire Investigations, Suppression, and EMS. He have served on the International Code Council, a two-year term on the Building Code-Fire Safety Committee, and currently serves as the Fire Marshal, certified as a Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Suppression Officer, Law Enforcement Officer with full police powers.
Deputy Chief Barrero has Bachelor of Science, Criminal Justice, Troy State University. He is married to Catherine with daughters Alexandra and Olivia.
